Each Summer Storm Shelter Ministries sends a missionary team to Africa to visit Storm Shelter African Churches, and to minister in new communities. The children are always so happy to receive the small gifts that we bring, while the communities are in great need of hope and help. The treasure of Africa is truly it's beautiful people whom God loves so very much. There is much poverty and help needed, which means many ways to serve as a missionary.
We just finished with a wonderful "This is Our Time," tent meeting at Fontana Christian Center in October. Check back for information on our next event.

The loyal Love project came about when a need was Identified for feminine hygiene products in school aged young ladies. These students were missing large amounts of school due to not being able to afford sanitary napkins, leading to gaps in their education. This program supplies for the need of each girl for one year at a time, so they can continue with their education uninterrupted. Every girl that has received this blessing has been overcome with joy to know the love of people like you, who care enough to donate this project
On each 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, Storm Shelter's food pantry is open to those in need. The food pantry is ran by dedicated and faithful members of the church, and is a helpful resource to the local community in Fontana.
Storm Shelter Academy is located in Kawangware ,
a slum on the outskirts of Nairobi. Sixty five very impoverished children, of whom 25 are orphans, attend Storm shelter Academy. Attaining an education can empower and enable these children to have a much better life, and end the cycle of poverty that they are currently stuck in. $150 feeds the whole student body lunch for an entire month. $20 a month will provide a child a uniform, food, and cover the cost of their curriculum. Basic necessities that many of us in America take for granted are a struggle for many in these communities. The need is great and your gift could make a huge difference!
